AI Model IP Assets

2PM.Network introduces a novel concept where AI models are treated not just as tools or software but as intellectual property (IP) assets. This paradigm shift allows creators and contributors to monetize their AI models through a sophisticated blockchain framework called Story Protocol, leveraging various elements such as NFTs, smart contracts, and tokenization to secure and manage IP rights effectively.
In 2PM.Network, each AI model is encapsulated within an NFT, making it a unique IP Asset. This IP Asset is an ERC-721 NFT, which serves as a digital certificate of ownership and originality for the AI model. It’s registered in the global IP Asset registry of Story Protocol, which then creates a detailed and unique IP record for the model.
Components of AI Model IP Management
IP Account (ERC-6551):
Each AI model, as an IP Asset, has an associated IP Account, which is a modified implementation of the ERC-6551 standard. This account acts as a permissions manager, controlling interactions with Story Protocol’s modules and managing the AI model’s licensing and royalty distributions.
The IP Account ensures that each interaction with the AI model’s data and rights is tracked and managed securely, adhering to the permissions set by the owner.
IP Royalty Vault:
Accompanying each IP Asset is an IP Royalty Vault, a dedicated smart contract that acts as a repository for all financial transactions related to the commercial use of the AI model. This includes inflows from licensing fees and other monetization streams such as inference service income.
Royalty Tokens, specific to each IP Asset, represent shares in this vault. Stakers (stake to IP Royalty Vault) of these tokens are entitled to claim a proportionate share of the revenue accumulated in the Royalty Vault.
Royalty Tokens (RT):
Each IP Asset issues 100,000,000 Royalty Tokens, with each token representing a micro-percentage of the total revenue rights of the AI model. These tokens allow token stakers to claim Revenue Tokens from the Royalty Vault.
Revenue Tokens:
These are the actual currency tokens (like ETH, USDC, etc.) used for transactions and payments within the 2PM.Network ecosystem. Revenue Tokens are what Royalty Token stakers claim as their share of revenue generated by the IP Asset.
